Presentation of the Big Industrial Week for diplomatic missions of African countries was held in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia

Only three weeks are left before the opening of the Big Industrial Week International Industrial and Technology Trade Fair and Forum. The event will take place in the new Egypt International Exhibition Centre on October 8-10, 2019.

More than 110 industrial enterprises will take part in the trade fair, and the African Industrial Forum will be the key business event.

The main focus of the Big Industrial Week in Cairo is investment opportunities, development prospects and the huge industrial potential of the African continent. This is what representatives of diplomatic missions of African countries discussed in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia today.

The participants of the meeting included: Dr. Suitbert Zechariah Mkama, Plenipotentiary Minister of the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania, Clemens Handuukeme Kashuupulwa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Namibia to the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of the economic departments of the embassies of South African Republic and Algeria in Moscow.

"In the Year of Africa in Russia and the Year of Russia in Africa, it is especially important to develop our economies, share experience, and Big Industrial Week will contribute to this," said Ihab Talaat Nasr, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Russia.

The trade fair will feature the African Industrial Forum with participation of Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov and Minister of Trade and Industry of Egypt Amr Nassar. In the framework of the trade fair, the 12th meeting of the Egypt-Russia Joint Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation will be held, too. On October 8-9, Rosatom State Corporation will hold the Forum for suppliers and contractors of El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant project.

The total exhibition area of the Trade Fair will make some 5,000 sq. m.

"The Big Industrial Week International Industrial and Technology Trade Fair and Forum is the first industrial trade fair of the INNOPROM type abroad, and for the host country, Egypt, it is actually the first general industrial B2B platform in the country. Therefore, the trade fair turned out to be of big interest not only for Russian participants but also for Egyptian ones, as well as for other foreign industrial companies represented in the region. The main sectors represented by Russian participants are transport engineering, contemporary agricultural technologies, nuclear power industry, power equipment and others."
